All our products are made from ingredients grown in organic farming. This type of agri-culture has less negative impact on the environment than conventional farming because it uses less chemical fertilisers and is less intrusive on the soil, fauna and flora.

Groundwater remains clean, bees do not pollinate chemically treated plants and you will not find any toxic substances in your breakfast. With organic certification, you know what you're eating.

Here are the main reasons why we choose organic farming:

Turtle has been certified as an organic product by Certisys BE-BIO-001 from the beginning.

FAIR PRODUCTION

We are committed to buying raw materials in a fair and reasonable way.

PROXIMITA - we purchase raw materials from farms in the vicinity of our production facilities. There are long-term agreements and cooperation between us and our farmers.

FAIRNESS - Our raw materials are sourced in accordance with high social standards as set out in the BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative), SA8000 (Social Accountability) and ILO (International Labor Organization) specifications.

All of our suppliers are members of Sedex and ensure fair living and working conditions for the farmers who grow our cocoa, sugar cane and other ingredients that we cannot grow on site.

HEALTHY AND NUTRITIOUS FOOD

Breakfast must provide you with nutrients and long-lasting energy to start the day well. Choosing the right combination of macronutrients is important to ensure that your brain and body get what they need to develop.

For example, choose breakfast foods that contain a mix of carbohydrates, protein, healthy fats and fibre. Carbohydrates give you energy right away and protein will give you a boost later.

SUSTAINABLY PACKAGED

The main purpose of our packaging is to enable transport and preserve the freshness and taste of our cereals for as long as possible.

We are not perfect, but we are doing our best and intend to continue to improve our sustainability as new materials and technologies become available. Here is a description of what we are currently doing:

Our cardboard boxes are made from 80% recycled fibres and the outer packaging we use for transport is 100% recycled. Both are recyclable.

We are not here to advocate plastics, but we cannot avoid their use either. The plastic preserves the freshness of the food and keeps moisture and other microorganisms out of the contents. This protection significantly reduces food waste.

Plastic is recyclable, so throwing the empty bag in the appropriate bin will give it another life and reduce the amount of new plastic created.
