Raw materials

110 g butter
75 g cane sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
125 g plain flour
½ teaspoon baking soda, ½ teaspoon salt
50 g chopped chocolate or chocolate lentils
20 g Turtle Marshmallow Crisps (plus a few on top for decoration)

Procedure

Preheat the oven to 180 °C (160 °C with hot air) and line a baking tray with baking paper. In a bowl , beat the butter and sugar until light and foamy, add the eggs and vanilla extract and mix. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda and salt and gradually stir it into the butter mixture. Finally, add chopped chocolate and marshmallow crisps.
Using a spoon , form mounds of dough on the baking sheet with sufficient spacing. Decorate each cookie with a few pieces of crisps on top. Bake for 8-10 minutes, until the edges start to turn golden. Let cool on the baking sheet for a while, then transfer to a wire rack.

Are these Marshmallow Crunchies from Turtle similar to Lucky Charms cereal from General Mills?

Turtle Marshmallow Crunchies are similar in taste and concept: vanilla cereal with little crunchy marshmallows. But Turtle Marshmallow Crisps are a healthier alternative. They contain 30% less sugar and are of organic quality. But most importantly - Turtle uses natural plant extracts to colour the marshmallow, while Lucky Charms contain substances (Trisodium Phosphate, Red 40, Yellow 5 & 6, Blue 1), some of which are banned in Europe .

Are these marshmallow crisps vegan?

No, not yet. Marshmallows contain gelatin of bovine origin. However, we are looking for a vegan alternative. The problem is that so far we can only find soft vegan marshmallows, not crunchy ones that would fit our recipe. We are working on a solution.

Tyhle cereálie jsem koupila trochu náhodou. Zaujal mě krásný obal, tak jsem je přihodila do košíku. To co se ukrývá uvnitř krabice, wooow, “výstřel do chuťového vesmíru”. Lepší cereálie jsem v životě nejedla. Malém jsme se o ně s dětmi poprali. Tohle barevné snídaňové zobání je u nás doma zaručeně č. 1.

Hahaha, krásná recenze, plná pozitivních emocí, které ihned dokáží potencionálním zákazníkům naznačit, jaký je to rozdíl, když se člověk zahryzne do potravin, které jsou specialisty na daný obor a nedělají pod jednou značkou všechno možné a nic pořádně! Turtle je značka, která vyrábí pouze cereálie a je to znát, protože si dávají opravdu záležet na kvalitě vstupních surovin. Když jsme je na veletrhu ochutnali, byla to láska na první zobnutí.
