Re-Lyte® Electrolytes - Fruit Blend unique electrolytes from ancient Real Salt

Why buy

Re-Lyte™ is a premium natural sugar-free electrolyte drink that quickly restores lost minerals and prevents muscle cramps. Contains the optimal ratio of sodium, potassium, magnesium and chloride for maximum hydration and athletic performance.

The key ingredient is Redmond Real Salt, unrefined salt from the ancient Sundance Sea*, rich in over 60 trace minerals.

Redmond worked with a team of health and fitness experts to develop Re-Lyte™, which focuses on creating the optimal blend of electrolytes for hydration and recovery.

These experts helped to design the right ratio of electrolytes (sodium, potassium, magnesium and more) so that the product provides the necessary hydration and supports performance during physical activity and in everyday life.

Re-Lyte® Hydration Electrolyte Drink Mix

The team also ensured that Re-Lyte™ contains no artificial ingredients or sugars, making it a healthy choice for everyday use. The Re-lyte drink therefore contains zero calories and is completely sugar-free, making it ideal for those trying to avoid excess sugar.

It is perfect for keto diets and is also suitable during fasting, when it helps to replenish the necessary electrolytes. The drink delivers naturally occurring electrolytes that provide optimal hydration without artificial additives.

You can use it every day, whether in normal functioning or in demanding sports activities. Plus, it's easy to mix and offers a great taste you'll appreciate.

*The Sundance Sea was an inland sea basin that covered much of the present-day Midwestern United States, including the area where the city of Redmond, Utah is located today.
During the Jurassic period, about 200-145 million years ago, salt was deposited at the bottom of this sea. This salt was then buried under layers of volcanic ash and clay, which protected it from contamination and preserved it in a pure and unrefined state for millions of years. Due to movements of the earth's crust (called diapirs), the salt was pushed closer to the surface where it is mined today as Redmond Real Salt.
Real Salt contains more than 60 trace minerals that give the salt its unique taste and nutritional properties. This is real "sea salt," although it is mined from the deep sediments of the ancient sea.

Re-lyte versus the competition

Re-Lyte™ sets itself apart from other electrolyte products due to several key factors that make it a premium supplement:

  • Use of unrefined ancient sea salt: while most competitors use regular table salt, which is chemically treated and stripped of minerals, Re-Lyte contains Redmond Real Salt, which is unrefined salt from the ancient Sundance Sea. This salt contains over 60 trace minerals that help with muscle hydration and recovery, a unique feature compared to other electrolyte blends.

  • Clean, chemical-free formula: Re-Lyte does not contain artificial sweeteners, chemical additives or preservatives that are common in many cheaper electrolyte drinks. It is ideal for those looking for a clean, sugar-free product suitable for keto or fasting.

  • Balanced electrolyte ratio: the product is designed with an emphasis on optimal electrolyte ratios, including 2:1 sodium to potassium, and also contains magnesium, calcium and chloride. This ratio is carefully calculated to provide maximum support during physical activity and throughout the day.

  • Quality Manufacturing Process:Re-Lyte is manufactured in top-quality, clean facilities in the USA that regularly exceed quality and safety standards. This ensures the high quality of each package.

These features make Re-Lyte not only effective, but also a healthier and more natural choice compared to conventional electrolyte products on the market.

How do electrolytes work?

Please think of your body as an electrical machine that needs the five essential electrolytes, sodium, potassium, chloride, calcium and magnesium, to run properly. These electrolytes hydrate your body cells and keep your muscles running optimally.

Electrolytes are tiny particles that your body relies on to carry electrical currents and keep your cells hydrated and ready to work.

Are you deficient in potassium? Rest assured that muscle cramps are not far away. Why? Because if you lose too much sodium when you sweat, potassium can't function as it should.

Your body chemistry is amazing. After about an hour of exercise, the electrolytes are lost and must be replenished naturally.

Redmond's electrolyte blend, called Re-Lyte, was designed by American fitness and health experts who worked hard to get all the beneficial electrolytes in the right proportions and developed a recipe that also tastes great.

Re-Lyte Electrolyte Mix is the purest thing you can indulge in when it comes to healthy supplements not only for sports but also for the keto diet. None of the variants contain added sugar in any form.

Are you on a fasting, keto or carnivore diet?

Avoid headaches by drinking water fortified with electrolytes.

Re-Lyte Electrolyte Mix contains all the electrolytes necessary for the body to avoid the headaches that come with fasting or the dreaded keto flu - and with zero calories as a bonus.

Mix the mixture with plain water and enjoy the perfect blend of electrolytes, whether during intermittent fasting or regular fasting lasting several days.

Why use Re-Lyte™?

Although the modern diet is rich in sodium, many active runners and other athletes still do not supply their bodies with enough of this important substance during exercise.

Low sodium in the body leads to many health problems including cramps, exhaustion, nausea, headaches, vomiting and dizziness. Dehydration is usually responsible for these problems.

However, if the body takes in too much water and too little electrolytes (sodium is the primary electrolyte), the complete opposite of dehydration, a condition called hyponatremia, can occur.

During hyponatremia, your body's mineral stores are so diluted that your body cannot physically function. Maintaining the delicate balance between hydration and electrolyte content is absolutely crucial for success in running and sport in general.

Salt also ensures the proper functioning of muscles. Simply put, every time your muscle clenches, there is an exchange of sodium and potassium. Low sodium in the body can lead to cramps, muscle fatigue and poor performance.

How much salt should you take? Due to the high sodium content of modern diets, preloading with salt is usually not necessary. It depends on the distance run, temperature, body type and weight of the runner.

If the temperatures are high and/or the distance exceeds 10-15 miles, the salt contained in ordinary sports drinks is usually not enough. If you are running longer distances or it is hot outside, it is recommended to stay hydrated with supplements such as Re-Lyte™.

How many doses of Re-Lyte should I drink per day?

Always remember: Every person and every body is different.

Re-Lyte Hydration is packed with essential electrolytes to keep you hydrated and feeling your best. Finding out what amount of Re-Lyte Hydration is ideal for you is not universal.

Factors such as the amount of exercise you get, the climate you live in, any health conditions you may have, and other variables play a role in determining what works best for you. We recommend noting the amount of electrolytes in each dose of Re-Lyte and tailoring your intake to your unique hydration needs.

While it's always best to get advice from a trusted health professional, you can get an estimate of daily nutritional recommendations from this calculator from the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine.

This includes the Adequate Intake Level (AI), how much of a nutrient you need to be healthy, and the Tolerable Upper Intake Level (UL), how much of a nutrient you can safely take in without overdosing.

Currently, there is no tolerable upper intake limit (UL) for sodium because there is very little evidence that sodium causes toxicity in healthy people even at very high doses.

In addition to evaluating your daily nutritional recommendations, you should also pay attention to the signs your body is giving you.

If you don't have enough electrolytes, you may experience things like headaches, dizziness and fatigue. If you get too much, you may get stomach pain or diarrhoea.

The colour of your urine may also be a sign that you need more electrolytes. If your urine is completely clear, you may be drinking too much water without enough electrolytes to balance it.

A taste for salt can also be a sign that you are low in sodium. Your body has a finely tuned salt thermostat, developed over years and years of evolution, so that you have a salt craving when you need it and are turned off when you don't.

In conclusion, your journey to Re-Lyte hydration is uniquely yours. Adjust your intake based on exercise, climate, illness or other individual factors. It's an individual approach to making you feel your best.

What do professionals in the USA say about Re-Lyte™?

Cyclist Dina Hannah spoke very favorably about Re-Lyte: "Last June I took part in a race across America. Our team consisted of 4 women with an average age of 50-59 years.

I raced on a route through the Arizona and Mohave deserts, where it was unusually hot for the time of year. Daytime temperatures reached up to 48 degrees, while at night they dropped to 26 degrees.

We heard that many of the competitors who started ahead of us had to abandon the race due to health problems caused by the high temperatures. Luckily, I had a large supply of Re-Lyte with me.

I took Re-Lyte every few hours because I knew that my body was losing electrolytes very quickly due to the heat, and it was incredibly important for my performance to replenish them regularly. Not only did I survive in the desert, my team and I won the race in a time of 7 days and 36 minutes! If it wasn't for Re-Lyte, I couldn't have survived under the conditions. Thank you!"

"I can't thank Redmond enough for developing an incredible and effective electrolyte blend. As a perennial keto athlete, I noticed a huge difference in electrolyte levels, hydration and sweat.

Re-Lyte even helps me regulate my energy. The Lemon Lime and Mixed Berry flavors are incredible - not too flavorfully violent or sweet, yet so delicious. Even with a lot of physical effort, when the stomach can be a bit temperamental, the Re-Lyte formula is light and easy to digest. " - Ben Light

"Re-Lyte is a great way to provide the body with electrolytes rather than the processed sugars and preservatives found in conventional sports drinks." - Maria Lamb, Olympic speed skater, USA

"If you want to maintain your pace and avoid cramps, you need NaCl. During the Ironman triathlon I was forced to limit myself to walking. In the infirmary I was given Redmond True Salt and within 10 minutes I was running at a mile-a-minute pace again." - Cedric Smith, triathlete

"I have been taking Hammer endurolytes for some time now. During my last marathon in November 2012, I took my salt tablets but still had cramps in my legs.

I took the tablets in advance and quite often, but they had no effect. Around mile 21, I was trying to get the cramps to go away and my friend Michael Hess rode up to me on his bike and offered me Redmond Real Salt (Re-Lyte) tablets.

He gave me everything he had, and as soon as I (Ry-Lyte) took the tablets, the cramps eased. I was surprised at how quickly they worked. They really seemed to work and I finished the marathon without a single cramp." - Rosa Arambula

"I race mountain bikes and since I started taking Re-Lyte, I've noticed that I can handle high temperatures better during training and my muscles feel better during and after races.

I take Re-Lyte before, during and after races and also during everyday activities like long walks with the dog or running. I eat mostly only raw foods and never use any unnatural products, so Ry-Lyte fits perfectly into my diet." - Shane Myers, Kamas Ut.

"Ry-Lyte sports capsules are my favourite dietary supplement to supply electrolytes. Compared to similar products I've used in the past, Re-Lyte capsules are smaller, lighter and don't leak, even when you're constantly transporting them. Since I have been taking Re-Lyte, I no longer have problems with cramps during long workouts or marathons. Ry-Lyte works!" - Jeff R. Fresno, California

"Redmond True Salt (Re-Lyte) has helped me tremendously when it comes to preventing cramps during marathon running. I used it during the Great Wall, Gold Coast and Buenos Aires marathons, which I ran in 3:09.

After trying regular salt tablets and table salt, I have come to the conclusion that Ry-Lyte works and tastes the best of all." - Michael Hess, marathon runner

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Re-Lyte Hydration and Re-Lyte Pre-Workout?

Re-Lyte Hydration is designed for daily hydration with an optimal ratio of electrolytes to replenish minerals lost through perspiration. In addition, Re-Lyte Pre-Workout contains substances such as beta-alanine, caffeine and amino acids that support performance during exercise, increase energy and reduce muscle fatigue.

Why has the Re-Lyte Hydration dose size changed?

The batch size of Re-Lyte's flavoured variants has changed as a result of improvements to its recipe. Previously, the serving size was 6.5 grams, now it varies between 6.2 and 6.8 grams depending on the flavour.

This change is the result of a modification of the citric acid content, which has been added to ensure the correct taste and better mixability of the product without containing calories. Citric acid, known for its refreshing citrus flavour, contributes to the overall taste of the drink, which is why some variants contain a slightly higher dose.

The unflavoured version of Re-Lyte did not require this modification as it does not contain citric acid or any other flavouring agents and therefore retained the original batch size.

Why does Re-Lyte Hydration contain Real Salt?

Real Salt, the main ingredient in Re-Lyte, comes from the ancient Sundance Sea and contains over 60 trace minerals that promote hydration, muscle health and overall electrolyte balance in the body. This makes Re-Lyte different from competitors that use refined salt with limited minerals.

Why should I use Re-Lyte Hydration during a keto diet or fast?

During a keto diet or fast, electrolyte deficiencies often occur, which can cause headaches and fatigue. Re-Lyte provides essential electrolytes without calories, helping to maintain electrolyte balance without breaking the fast.

Does Re-Lyte Hydration contain artificial ingredients or sugars?

No, Re-Lyte does not contain any artificial sweeteners, additives or sugars. It is pure and designed for people who are looking for a natural and healthy alternative without unnecessary chemicals.

How is Re-Lyte Hydration different from other electrolyte blends?

Re-Lyte contains unrefined ancient sea salt, Real Salt, which is mined without chemical processes and contains more than 60 trace minerals. Most competing blends use refined salts that are depleted of these important minerals.

What are the main ingredients in Re-Lyte Hydration?

Re-Lyte contains major electrolytes such as sodium (810 mg), potassium (400 mg), chloride (1280 mg), magnesium (50 mg) and calcium (60 mg). In addition, it contains unrefined ancient sea salt (Redmond Real Salt), non-GMO citric acid and stevia extract for calorie-free sweetness.

Why does Re-Lyte Hydration contain citric acid?

Non-GMO citric acid is used to give the mixture a mild, refreshing taste and to help dissolve the powder in water. It makes the blend easy to mix and provides a pleasant experience without the need for added artificial substances.

Citric acid is a healthy, natural preservative. It also has a pleasant, sour taste and can help your body absorb minerals better. We have included citric acid in many of our Re-Lyte products because it is one of the best natural preservatives. In addition, its sour taste adds something special to the taste of Re-Lyte.

In addition to these two practical benefits, citric acid has an interesting health benefit - it helps your body absorb minerals better. Research shows that citric acid improves the ability of the intestines to absorb calcium, magnesium, phosphorus and zinc.

As you may know, most of our Re-Lyte products are healthy sources of calcium and magnesium, along with other important minerals. The coconut water in many of our Re-Lyte products also contains small amounts of phosphorus and zinc. The citric acid in Re-Lyte can help you get more nutrients from every sip.

Like all ingredients in Redmond Life products, citric acid comes from high-quality natural sources. The one we use comes from fermented cassava, is certified kosher, halal and verified by the Non-GMO Project. After the fermentation process, it is cleaned and tested for possible contaminants, including yeast and mould.

If you're looking for a citric acid-free option, look for unflavored Re-Lyte powder or Re-Lyte capsules.

Why does Re-Lyte Hydration contain stevia?

Redmond uses stevia leaf extract in Re-Lyte products as a natural, calorie-free sweetener that delivers subtle sweetness without raising blood sugar levels. Stevia is low in carbohydrates, making it ideal for keto and low-calorie diets.

Re-Lyte products use rebaudioside A extract, which is less bitter than other forms of stevia and delivers a milder taste. In addition, stevia can have positive effects on cholesterol and blood pressure.

Why does Re-Lyte Hydration contain fragrances?

Redmond uses natural flavors in Re-Lyte products to create delicious blends that meet their standards of purity and quality. These flavors come from real fruits such as lemons, limes, strawberries, mangoes and more.

Processing the fruit into a powder can distort the flavour, so natural flavours are added to ensure a balanced and pleasant taste. Recipes are carefully tested to ensure the final product remains healthy and delicious.

Why does Re-Lyte Hydration contain calcium?

Calcium is a key electrolyte that supports healthy muscle function, nerve function, blood clotting, hormone balance and much more. All Re-Lyte products, except unflavored Re-Lyte Hydration and Re-Lyte Hydration Support Caps, contain this essential electrolyte.

Calcium performs several important functions in the body. It helps remineralize bones, promotes muscle contraction, participates in the transmission of nerve impulses, blood clotting, hormone secretion and plays a role in the function of the immune system.

Research shows that calcium signals regulate the production of two important immune cells that launch an attack on invaders in the body and end it when the threat subsides. This helps to maintain the balance of the immune system and prevents an exaggerated, potentially harmful reaction.

Calcium is one of the electrolytes that is lost in sweat, so it is important to replenish it regularly, especially during physical activity. Calcium deficiency can cause muscle cramps, fatigue, dry skin, brittle nails and irritability.

Part of the calcium in Re-Lyte comes from unrefined Real Salt sea salt. Additional calcium is added in the form of calcium lactate or calcium carbonate.

Calcium carbonate is a mined mineral, but the one we use is pharmaceutical grade and purified, meaning it does not come directly from the rock (a common misunderstanding).

Calcium lactate is more bioavailable than calcium carbonate, but hydration with Re-Lyte is not the same as taking calcium carbonate alone.

When Re-Lyte is dissolved, calcium carbonate combines with citric acid (in flavored versions) to form calcium citrate, which is the most bioavailable form of calcium and the gentlest on the stomach.

Both types of calcium come from suppliers who adhere to CGMP standards to ensure product identity, strength, quality and purity.

To learn more about the benefits of calcium, read these resources:

Why was calcium carbonate used in Re-Lyte Hydration?

The use of calcium carbonate in Re-Lyte products brings the advantage of easier mixing and makes Re-Lyte Hydration calorie-free. Since it is combined with citric acid and other ingredients, taking calcium carbonate in these products is different from taking this substance alone.

The original Re-Lyte formulations were highly rated but may have been more difficult to mix. For this reason, the formulation has been modified to make the products easier to mix while maintaining their quality. Changing the type of calcium in Re-Lyte resulted in better mixability while making the products calorie-free, which is especially beneficial for the fasting community.

Newly used calcium carbonate is one of the most common forms of calcium in dietary supplements. This mineral is highly contained in many foods and supplies the necessary amount of elemental calcium.

The quality of calcium carbonate used is pharmaceutical grade and purified, meaning it does not come directly from the rock, which is a common misunderstanding. This transition was not motivated by cost reduction, but was chosen to improve the customer experience.

Concerns about side effects such as indigestion caused by the alkalinity of calcium carbonate are minimised when combined with citric acid, which neutralises its effects and converts it into calcium citrate - the form of calcium that is most absorbable and gentle on the stomach.

The bioavailability of calcium carbonate is affected by various factors such as age, vitamin D levels or body chemistry. In Re-Lyte products, calcium carbonate is converted into calcium citrate, which is known as a highly bioavailable form of calcium.

This change has been introduced in several products, including Re-Lyte Hydration, Re-Lyte Immunity, Re-Lyte Pre-Workout and Re-Lyte Energy. If a calcium-free option is preferred, unflavored Re-Lyte and Re-Lyte Hydration Support Caps are available.

Can I overdose on Re-Lyte Hydration?

Every person and body are different, so it depends on a number of factors. How much one exercises, what the climate is like, whether there are health problems such as vomiting or diarrhea, or whether one is pregnant or breastfeeding all affect electrolyte requirements, which can be at the higher or lower end of the spectrum.

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) provides a useful tool for calculating daily nutrient intake recommendations that can help determine how many nutrients are appropriate for a particular body and lifestyle.

Still, the question may arise: If Re-Lyte is so healthy, why is it necessary to limit its quantity?

It is possible to take in too many electrolytes and therefore caution is advisable as Re-Lyte products contain high levels of electrolytes, especially sodium.

No tolerable upper limit has yet been set for sodium because there is insufficient evidence that it causes toxicity in healthy people, even at high doses. Nevertheless, it is important to perceive the body's signals. A lack of electrolytes can manifest itself in headaches, dizziness or fatigue, while an excess can cause abdominal pain and diarrhoea.

The colour of the urine can also give a clue as to whether additional electrolytes are needed. If the urine is completely clear, it may mean that too much water has been taken in without enough electrolytes. A taste for salt can also be a sign of low sodium in the body.

Electrolyte intake and hydration are generally not areas for which universal recommendations can be made. Every person is different and their body has different needs.

Can children drink Re-Lyte Hydration?

Re-Lyte Hydration contains high levels of electrolytes, so it is natural to wonder how it may affect younger people. Is Re-Lyte Hydration safe for children?

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has established recommended maximum daily intakes for various nutrients depending on age. Below is a summary of the electrolytes found in Re-Lyte Hydration and how they compare to the NIH recommended maximum limits.

Does Re-Lyte Hydration help against muscle cramps?

Muscle cramps are often caused by dehydrated cells or improperly balanced electrolytes. Mild symptoms of electrolyte deficiency include dizziness, muscle weakness and cramps.

Re-Lyte Hydration supports proper muscle function by increasing the amount of sodium, potassium and calcium available in the cells. This supply of electrolytes helps both during intense exercise and in dealing with nighttime leg cramps.

Does Re-Lyte Hydration help with headaches?

Re-Lyte Hydration helps to maintain balanced electrolyte levels, which can relieve headaches. Many customers have reported having far fewer headaches after starting to take Re-Lyte, which may be due to the fact that headaches are often associated with mild to moderate dehydration. To manage dehydration and relieve headaches, it is essential not only to drink enough, but also to replenish electrolytes.

Research shows that consuming more sodium can reduce the likelihood of migraines.

It has also been shown that magnesium can reduce the risk of headaches, and migraine sufferers often have lower magnesium levels, suggesting a possible link between migraines and magnesium deficiency.

For those who suffer from frequent headaches, it is important to ensure proper hydration and regular electrolyte replenishment.

Can I take Re-Lyte Hydration during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

Re-Lyte can be a very useful tool during this phase of life when extra attention needs to be paid to hydration. It is always advisable to consult your doctor before taking new dietary supplements.

However, Re-Lyte can be an ideal aid because during pregnancy and breastfeeding it is important to ensure an increased supply of nutrients, including essential minerals such as electrolytes.

During pregnancy, the risk of dehydration is higher, for example due to morning sickness. In addition, the body of a pregnant woman has to supply not only herself, but also the fetus, which increases the need for nutrients.

When breastfeeding, the need for electrolytes increases, as they are passed on to the baby through breast milk. Electrolytes are important for a child's growth and development, so a regular supply of healthy electrolytes is a great way to support your child's health.

Why does Re-Lyte Hydration sometimes clump in the container?

Salt and citric acid attract water from the air, which can make the Re-Lyte mixture less free-flowing over time. Both of these components are hygroscopic, which means they absorb moisture from the air. If you live in a humid environment, you may notice the powder clumping (clumping) in the container.

To prevent this phenomenon, many companies add chemical anti-caking agents to their products. At Re-Lyte, however, they prefer simplicity and purity, so the product remains free of chemical additives.

The good news is that slight clumping in the container does not affect the effectiveness of Re-Lyte Hydration.

Why does Re-Lyte Hydration contain so much salt?

Even if you don't sweat, your body needs salt to stay healthy. Sodium helps maintain water balance inside and outside the cells and supports proper nerve and muscle function. When sweating, it is important to pay increased attention to salt intake, because sodium is the electrolyte that is lost the most.

Most electrolyte drinks do not contain enough salt to replenish what the body loses through sweating. This is due to the fact that they use cheap, processed salt, which has a bad taste, and therefore not enough sodium can be added without compromising the taste of the product.

Re-Lyte Hydration uses tasty, unrefined Real Salt, which allows it to deliver twice the amount of sodium compared to other brands of electrolytes, yet still maintain a great taste!

Is salt harmful?

No upper tolerable intake limit (UL) has been set for sodium because there is very little evidence that sodium causes toxicity in healthy people, even at very high doses.

The threshold for chronic disease risk reduction (CDRR) is set at 2 300 mg per day, but this recommendation may not be based on solid evidence.

In the book The Salt Fix, Dr. James DiNicolantonio research, which suggests that a daily intake of 3,000 to 5,000 mg of sodium is safe for many people. However, it is always advisable to consult a health professional about what is best for your situation.
