SonnenElixier is a high-dose complex that provides the body with both vitamin D3 and vitamin K2.
Vitamin D supply is critical in our country. Particularly in the autumn and winter months, many people in Central Europe suffer from vitamin D deficiency - for example, according to the RKI study, around 40% of adults in Germany do not meet the recommended daily intake.
With SonnenElixier high-dose drops, a sufficiently high level of vitamin D can be achieved in the long term in a very simple way: take four drops once every 20 days (aka 3 weeks) - that's it.

Why does SonnenElixier contain vitamin K2 in addition to D3? Because these 2 vitamins complement each other in a meaningful way in their functions for the body. Vitamin D3 intake increases the concentration of calcium in the blood and the body needs K2 to make optimal use of calcium.
Naturtreu offers a total of three types of vitamin D3 with K2 - SonnenKind for children aged 4 years and older and SonnenKind for children aged 11 years and older SonnenFreund. And for adults SonnenElixier.
What sets SonnenElixier apart?
SonnenFreund is completely vegan and therefore has a key role among vitamin D products on the market. Most manufacturers use lanolin as a source. However, here cholecalciferol (vitamin D3) from lichens is used.
High quality MCT oil is used as a carrier for fat-soluble vitamin D3. It consists mainly of medium-chain fatty acids that behave nutritionally differently. They enter the liver directly through the blood and are available to the body as a quick source of energy.
Vitamin K2 in SonnenElixier is present in the form of MK7, the form with the highest bioavailability. In addition, it is extremely economical. 1 drop provides 5,000 IU of vitamin D3 (500% of the recommended daily allowance).

What are lichens?
Lichen is a "symbiotic system" of fungi and algae that are vegan and found in nature.
How is vitamin D3 obtained from plant lichens?
Vitamin D3 is obtained through a multi-step process of purification, extraction and concentration. Only water and alcohol are used, but these are completely removed at the end of the production process.
Why does SONNENELIXIER contain vitamin K2 and what is it derived from?
Combining it with K2 is best so that the body can also use calcium when taking vitamin D. It is important that vitamin K2 is present as the compound MK-7 in the all-trans form. Of course, we have taken this into account in our SONNENELIXIER. Vitamin K2 is found in fermented foods, in our case from fermented soybeans " Natto.
What does menaquinone MK-7 all-trans mean?
Menaquinone-7 (MK-7) is a highly absorbable form of vitamin K2. The term all-trans refers to the chemical composition of MK-7 molecules; it is the form of vitamin K2 with the highest bioavailability.
Why do we use MCT oil in SONNENELIXIER?
Vitamins D3 and K2 are fat-soluble vitamins that are only optimally used by the body when combined with a high-fat carrier. The MCT oil used is an unflavoured coconut oil extract.
