What is collagen?

Collagen is one of the most abundant proteins in the body—it actually makes up about 30% of our protein composition. Collagen production decreases when we reach the age of 20 and beyond.

You can take powdered collagen (which is a real food powder from nose to tail) made from grass-fed cattle or wild-caught fish, which nourishes your body from the inside. Our collagen creams contain beef collagen protein from grass-fed cattle from the EU.

Where does Hunter and Gather collagen come from?

Our collagen comes from pasture-raised cattle that graze on the lush pastures of the French countryside. Contrary to what many marketing departments want you to believe, there is currently no "organic collagen" or 100% grass-fed collagen available.

Cattle may come indoors during the winter and feed on supplemental feeds. We can guarantee that no genetically modified feeds are used. We believe it is important to be transparent and not hide behind marketing terminology.

Rest assured, we work tirelessly to ensure that our collagen peptides come from the best possible farmers/suppliers.

This includes ensuring the highest standards of animal welfare, such as the absence of hormones and antibiotics, thorough testing for heavy metals, toxins, and pesticide residues, along with ensuring exceptional purity, the best flavor profile, and easy dissolvability in liquids.

How to use the creamers?

The creamers are great in coffee, but you can also add them to tea, cocktails, shakes, or sprinkle them on yogurts. We recommend 2 heaping tablespoons per day, which you can spread out throughout the day or take all at once.

You can use the creamer at any time of the day.

What is the difference between creamer and bovine collagen?

In our creams, we use beef collagen peptides from grass-fed cattle, and one serving provides you with an incredible 13,000 mg of beef collagen.

We also add organic coconut milk, natural vanilla (or cocoa), and glycine to our creams. These packets are great for work, travel, or situations where you might not have milk, cream, or access to a blender to prepare your morning coffee with pure beef collagen.

Can I take the creamer together with bovine or marine collagen?

Each creamer contains an incredible 13,000 mg of beef collagen in one serving (2 heaping tablespoons), but if you wish to take marine collagen or more bovine collagen in addition to that, you can.

For example, you can take 1 heaping scoop of collagen creamer daily in your coffee and then a packet of beef collagen or a scoop of marine collagen as well (either simultaneously or at a separate occasion). We recommend up to 30-40 g of collagen daily.

How to store the creamers?

Store collagen creamer packets in a cool, dark place. After opening, we recommend consuming before the expiration date indicated on the bottom of the packet and storing in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

What is glycine and why is it added to the creamer?

Glycine is an amino acid (which is naturally present in collagen). It can help support serotonin stimulation, aid in the removal of toxins from the body, and support the transmission of nerve signals. Some also associate glycine with sleep support.

Glycine is a unique amino acid in that it has a sweet taste without being a sweetener or sugar. We add glycine to our collagen creamers to improve flavor while also providing the benefits of the amino acid glycine.

Are all flavors natural?

Yes, definitely! We only use natural flavors, without any sugar, seed oils, or grains in the production process.

Can the packets be resealed?

Yes, the collagen cream packets have a very practical and easy resealable closure.

Are the packets recyclable?

Yes.

Do you provide a scoop?

Because we aim to avoid single-use plastics as much as possible, we do not use plastic scoops in any of our powdered products. However, we do indicate serving sizes based on tablespoons. For creamers, we recommend 2 heaped tablespoons per day.

Can MCT powder and cream be used together?

You can definitely use our creamers and MCT oil or MCT powder together - it’s a great way to benefit from collagen and MCT simultaneously. We recommend up to 10 g of MCT powder and 15 ml of MCT oil daily.
