Patchouli is an essential oil that is ideally paired with frankincense and its Ayurvedic properties are very similar to frankincense. It has a strong earthy aroma and in blends it protects and enhances the other essential oils used. It provides a protective, sweet-woody framework for the other ingredients - in the case of Terre Verdi body oil, the essential oils of frankincense, neroli (bitter orange blossom) and sweet orange peel.
