Rice
Rice has traditionally been an indispensable part of Indian food. In Ayurveda, rice diet is used to treat several chronic diseases. For example, the combination of rice and dal is packed with plenty of vitamins, minerals and amino acids, which promotes good health and helps with weight management.
Rice is an easily digestible cereal - most cereals and grains are difficult for the body to digest. All grains have a sort of outer shell that is rich in phytic acid, which makes them very difficult to digest. Only polished rice is without this outer coating, making it a healthier choice!
