These mushrooms are cultivated in China in the Jiangshan mountain region. The grown fruit first goes through the first extraction and concentration process. The resulting powdered concentrate is then used to perform a second extraction to produce the most potent reishi extract possible. It is a combination of hot water and ethanolic extracts.
