An all-natural bentonite clay mined in the rare high-desert Redmond region of Utah. According to geologists, Redmond clay was formed from volcanic ash that settled in seawater about 150 million years ago, where it later evolved into sodium bentonite clay. Redmond Clay contains a high proportion of sodic bentonite (rock) and calcareous bentonite, an unusual combination in natural deposits.
