BEE&YOU never collects propolis directly from the inside of the hive because the bees need it to protect their home and to make other bee products. Instead, they use special propolis traps that have small holes and are made of food-grade plastic.

These traps are placed under the inner hatch of the hive. Bees naturally fill them with propolis in their normal work of sealing the hive. Once the traps are full, we gently remove them without disturbing the bees or causing them any harm.

This method of collection is gentle on the bees and at the same time allows to obtain high quality propolis that retains all its natural beneficial properties.
