About the company

Founded in 1991, Metabolics is a small family-run company based in the south-west of the UK in Wiltshire, specialising in the manufacture of pure dietary supplements without binders and fillers.

Since its inception, it has focused on providing the highest quality nutritional supplements to customers around the world.

Quality and cleanliness are the key elements of work at Metabolics. Only the highest quality raw materials are used to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.

The company was founded in 1991 and has been providing its customers with the highest quality nutritional and health supplements ever since.

Metabolics specializes in pure dietary supplements without the use of binders, liquid and firming agents or fillers.

The Society was founded by Alison Astill-Smith, a fully registered and experienced osteopath who trained at The British School of Osteopathy.

Alison was unhappy with the quality of the nutritional supplements that were available for use in her practice, so she decided to set up Metabolics to offer other practitioners and individuals the highest quality nutrition.

Alison also runs informative seminars across the UK and the rest of Europe, providing GPs with a wealth of information on nutrition for health and wellbeing, contributing to their CPD classes.

How it works METABOLICS

Metabolics is completely dedicated to providing the highest level of purity and quality in all of its supplements.

At Metabolics, there is a rule that applies to their entire product line - "Quality Out, Quality In".

Most capsules contain only the active ingredients and nothing else. If the amount of active ingredient is too small to produce a usable product, we add a single filler, namely "vegetable cellulose".

Cellulose is a plant-derived fibre that the body cannot digest, but when the active ingredient in the capsule is released and absorbed; the cellulose simply passes harmlessly through the body.

The encapsulation process is carried out at our manufacturing facility in Wiltshire, which is equipped with the latest technology to ensure that products are produced to the highest standards.

Random batch testing is carried out to ensure that all products meet these very high standards, while at the same time samples are taken after cleaning the equipment to ensure that there is absolutely no possibility of contamination or impact on standards.

Standards METABOLICS

Nothing is added to the dietary supplements from Metabolics.

Only purified water, purified to 18.2 MΩ, is added to all Metabolics liquid dietary supplements. This makes it possible to create liquid dietary supplements with water that is as pure as water can be.

The company is proud to include no hidden fillers, emulsifiers, binders, lubricants or stabilizers in any Metabolics dietary supplements.

This means no magnesium stearate, stearic acid, polyvinylpyrrolidone and sodium carboxymethylcellulose. Nothing that could interfere with the active ingredients contained in any Metabolics product to make them as effective and pure as possible.

The supplements you find in some other well-known products are not there for your benefit. Some other manufacturers use them to make their products easier to manufacture or to make them more aesthetically appealing. It's important to note that some of these additives are machine lubricants, added to make machines run smoother and faster and reduce production costs.

All Metabolics machines are semi-automatic, meaning they operate without added lubricants and are housed in a state-of-the-art cleanroom facility.

Production and quality in clean rooms

At Metabolics, all of their products are manufactured in the UK in their state-of-the-art clean room manufacturing facility.

As far as is known, there is no other UK manufacturer of dietary supplements with the same standard of manufacturing facilities.

They are also accredited to ISO:9001 and ISO:14001 standards to help customers gain confidence not only in Metabolics as a company, but also in our entire range of dietary supplements.

Metabolics products are manufactured under the strict rules of GMP & HACCP certification, a rigorous set of requirements that ensure dietary supplements are consistently produced and controlled to a high standard.

This demonstrates the manufacturer's ability to produce dietary supplements that meet the industry's high standards of quality and safety.

In addition, the company uses the ISO 9001:2015 quality management system to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements.

They also have the ISO 14001:2015 standard, which allows us to measure and improve our environmental performance.
