The product name LungenKraut comes from the lungwort plant, which has been known as a useful herb since the Middle Ages. It forms the main component of this complex in powder form.

The famous polymath Hildegard von Bingen popularised the lungwort in the 12th century. Since then it has been valued as an ingredient in teas and cough/bronchial syrups.

In addition to the powder of lungwort, the complex also contains other plant substances, namely thyme powder and eucalyptus extract, which have synergistic effects in combination with lungwort, as well as N-acetyl-L-cysteine and vitamin B2.

Each capsule contains 150 mg of Plicnik powder and is highly dosed. Most preparations containing lungwort in capsules contain considerably less.

In addition, this Pulmonaria powder is extracted from Pulmonaria plants of Indian origin that come from controlled organic cultivation, which testifies to the premium quality and high content of critical ingredients (including saponins and tannins).
