The story of this exceptional extra virgin olive oil began 17 years ago, when the family started to cultivate their olive grove to continue a long family tradition. Since then, their main mission has been to care for the land and respect the environment so as not to disturb the ecosystem.

The La Estaca olive grove grows the Picual variety. It is a sustainable grove located high in the mountains, which strongly influences the high quality of the olive oil obtained. The grove is located at an altitude of 1,025 metres in the Sierra Mágina (Jaén).
The owners cultivate the olives in a traditional way that is in line with agriculture and biodiversity, thus obtaining sustainable, healthy and high-quality extra virgin olive oil with a high content of polyphenols.
They maintain the plant cover, do not use pesticides and crush the residue after pruning and put it back into the soil. Thanks to this method of cultivation, this olive grove absorbsCO2, cleansing the atmosphere and mitigating the greenhouse effect. Soil fertility is maintained with organic fertiliser made from compost and manure.
The La Estaca olive grove is home to many animal species (birds, foxes, moles, snakes, lizards, rabbits, insects...) that help maintain the olive grove ecosystem. This fragile ecosystem has been disappearing over the last 40 years in parallel with the increased use of pesticides (herbicides and pesticides).
EVOO - Extra Virgin Olive Oil
EVOO is one of the main ingredients of the Mediterranean diet. It is considered one of the best and healthiest fats for cooking and cold cooking. It can be used for all types of preparation, including frying, as it can be exposed to temperatures of up to 180 °C without changing its texture and gives the food all its organoleptic properties.
Bio La Estaca EVOO "esencia de montaña" is a gourmet delight and can of course be consumed raw. It is also great in all foods such as sauces, dips, marinades, preserves and condiments. It is ideal as a finishing touch to dishes such as soups, pasta and salads.
