The dangers of hydrogenated seed oils from the supermarket
Hydrogenated seed oils, such as soybean, rapeseed or sunflower oil, commonly found in supermarkets, pose serious health risks.
The hydrogenation process, used to increase the shelf life and stabilise oils, leads to the formation of trans fatty acids. These substances are associated with an increased risk of heart disease, inflammation, obesity and diabetes.
Seed oils also often contain pesticide residues and their excessive consumption can upset the balance omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids in the body, which can lead to chronic inflammation.
If you're looking for healthier alternatives, choose natural and minimally processed fats like the ones we sell in our e-shop, which contribute to health and add a unique flavour to your dishes.
