The power of the liver in a capsule
Beef liver is considered one of nature's most nutritious foods because it is a source of many different bioavailable micronutrients.
For example, they contain vitamin A, which is known as retinol. The latter is particularly involved in maintaining healthy skin and supporting eyesight.
In addition, niacin (vitamin B3) and vitamin B12, which is good for concentration, memory and learning performance, are also found in abundance in the liver.
These substances also contribute to additional energy during fatigue. Beef liver also contains a high concentration of copper, which acts as an antioxidant and helps maintain immunity.

Liver is one of the most nutritious foods on the planet.
This is why predatory animals eat them first along with other organs, instinctively knowing that they are the most concentrated source of nutrients. We can observe the same with people living in nature.

Why supplement the liver?
The liver is full of vitamins and minerals!
Human nutrition research often demonstrates the concept of "like promotes like". This means that micro and macronutrients in animal organs and tissues support the same organs and tissues in humans.
For example, animal muscle meat promotes the growth and repair of human muscles. Similarly, the nutrients contained in the meat of animal organs support the same organs in the human body.
When it comes to the nutritional value of the liver, most attention is paid toB vitamins and iron. However, each piece of liver contains a number of other vitamins and minerals.
Liver is a good source of the following vitamins and minerals:
- Selenium: Beef liver contains 52% of the daily dose of selenium, which is essential for thyroid function, protects cells from damage and helps the body fight infections.
- Vitamin Ca: Beef liver contains 2 milligrams of vitamin C, which can boost your immunity.
- Phosphorus: Beef liver contains 50% of the daily amount of phosphorus, the most abundant mineral in the body. Phosphorus helps to create ATP and, in cooperation with B vitamins, supports the function of your muscles, kidneys and your nervous system.
- Choline: chicken liver contains 54.4 milligrams of choline, which is essential for brain health. Specifically, choline is essential for the production of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter that supports your memory, mood and muscle control.
In very rare cases, some individuals should avoid eating organ meats because they contain large amounts of vitamin A.
A good source of vitamin A is a 100 gram serving of raw liver, which contains a whopping 338% of the daily allowance. In most circumstances this is a good thing (not a bad thing).
Vitamin A is a fat-soluble vitamin that strengthens eyesight, the immune system and reproductive health. In addition, it helps support healthy organs - especially your heart, lungs and kidneys.
While there are many health benefits associated with vitamin A, it is important to remember that vitamin A deficiency is rare and excessive amounts can cause toxicity in the body.
- Consuming high amounts of beta-carotene (found in vitamin A) can cause your skin to turn yellow-orange.
- In addition, pregnant women should not consume too much vitamin A as it can cause birth defects.
- Finally, some medications, such as Accutane, can be toxic when taking vitamin A.

Why Primal Feast
In our store, we are big fans of small and independent entrepreneurs who take the path of honest organic production and focus on one area of expertise or passion.
But we have to point out that we don't care whether the brand is from the Czech Republic or Mars, we care about quality and the approach to production as such.
We are not national chauvinists, but global citizens who care about the principle of quality and access to ethical business, which means our brands and their origins reflect that. If we have few Czech brands on our e-shop, it is important to think why and not complain that we simply do not support Czech production.
But Radek is a Moravian and above all a good person and a budding entrepreneur, so when he approached us to include his brand in the e-shop, there was not much to think about. It also helped that it comes not far from us and gets its meat from cattle that graze only on Moravian, Silesian and Czech pastures.
Who is Radek and what inspired him
Primal Feast was founded in late 2022, but its roots go back a year when I had the idea of making dietary supplements from beef organs while working on a beef cattle farm.
I know from my own experience how significant an impact a plant-based diet can have on our health, and how important animal foods are. Yet I remain committed to animals, the environment and I want to eat what benefits me and enhances my health.
My "awakened" view of nutrition was most influenced by the work of Weston A. Price - Nutrition and Physical Degeneration, which is a fascinating testament to how diet affects proper development and health in humans.
With the advent of the popularity of the "Carnivore Diet" in 2020, I began to take plant-based antinutrients more seriously. By eliminating all plant foods, except for a little fruit, I was able to fully realize the positive effects of animal foods. As the saying goes, "red meat will kill you, but until then you'll feel great".
At the moment (2023) I am following the "Animal based diet" inspired by Paul Saladin. It's basically carnivore with the addition of easily digestible carbohydrates from fruit and honey. I look for a balance between absorbable nutrients and minimal toxins from plant matter.
I consider organs to be an important part of the diet, as a concentrated source of nutrients. Some vitamins in them are up to 100 times more concentrated than in muscle meat. The tradition of organ eating was valued and respected in the past, but has been almost lost in modern society.
In our modern "Western" society we hardly eat organs, the tradition has been broken. It seems strange to us, we don't know how to prepare them, they have a strong taste that we are not used to. That's why we offer freeze-dried beef organs in supplement form, as an easy way to incorporate them into the diet for those who wouldn't otherwise consume them or don't have time to prepare them.
Thank you to all the friends, family, acquaintances and others who helped us get Primal Feast off the ground. I trust that our products will be a useful guide on your journey, providing you with support and allowing you to live this adventure to the fullest.
