Omega-3 fatty acids are long-chain fatty acids that are essential for the human body. In particular, eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) have a number of important functions: For example, DHA is important for brain function² and vision³. What distinguishes ALGENKRAFT?

The body can only produce very small amounts of EPA and DHA on its own⁶. ALGENKRAFT is therefore generously dosed: each daily dose (2 capsules) provides 300 mg of DHA and 150 mg of EPA.

The amount is chosen so that pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers are well "protected" - the DGE recommends at least 200 mg of DHA per day for them^⁷.

Once omega-3 fatty acids come into contact with oxygen, they oxidize. This means that with every opening of the drops, several fatty acids oxidize and the Totox value increases over time.
